The Yelp Loves Church Event

Last night, 2Social was covering the #YelpLovesChurch event at the lovely Church Aperitivo Bar last night, where there was good food, nice people and tasty beverages moving around the room.

The event was the last event for Yelp Toronto‘s community manager, @TheNewVivek, who has been with Yelp for quite a while, managing and growing their social media presence. Vivek is moving on to another job but judging from his response on Yelp, he will be missed.

There were a lot of really great dishes that we had the pleasure of trying, like the rice balls, meat balls, lamb  skewers and flatbread platters that were delicious.

In case you don’t know, Yelp is an online community of people rating and commenting on different businesses around to let other people and friends know how that business is.

Yelp has over 25 million local reviews and 66 million unique monthly followers. They provide a great service for communities and help businesses get better from feedback they receive from customers.

Church Aperitivo Bar is located at Queen and Douvercourt in Toronto and it is a brand new addition to the Queen Street West area. The building’s modern design was courtesy of Guido Costantino, who added such features as the beautiful lighting hanging above the high ceiling. The building was previously a slavic church that was recently revamped as one of the busiest restaurants in Queen West right now.

This new hip-and-happening bar has a modern environment to it, beautiful table sets, comfortable high chairs (which are tough to find) and dimmed lights to really create a great ambience of style, elegance, but loosened-tie comfort.
