Because Caine’s Arcade this is an incredible story about this 9-year kid that made his own arcade with cardboard and his love for games. He has spent hours and hours on this arcade and making it better, and one day, he had a customer. That customer thought it was great that he was doing this arcade, in his dad’s auto shop, and wanted to make a film about it. Anyways, the video went viral and Caine’s Arcade is a roaring success that has help raise Caine, $176,000! The takeaways here are: Tell a great story, make it visually crisp, and focus on developing the people and ideas behind the brand and not just the brand itself.

Why?
Women 2.0 published a great article this week on the how to work smarter. My dad always said, “work hard, but work smart“, and that has enabled me to do what I am doing. Working smart is an efficient way of managing your time effectively, getting things done, and eliminating the distractions around you that are causing your mind to be unfocused on the major task at hand. Guest blogger, Camille Preston, outlines ways you can prioritize your day and schedule distractions for one chunk of time, instead of throughout the day. This is a method that I have been using for a long time, and I am happy to say, it works! Be sure to not only read, but try out some of these points and see how productive you end up being!

Why?
First of all, great visual! We have heard it a million times that content is king, but what about the rest of the article? What about the calls to action at the end of the article, or the hooking image or title that keeps the reader stuck on the page? Well this article describes the checklist that you should go through to make sure you hit all of the marks. This article is also good for the tips on SEO, that your title should match the meta description and the whole point of the article. Do you have a better checklist that you use? Why?
This is story is very important because it gives a glimpse of what the future holds in mainstream lighting technology. Due to this new innovation, any lightbulb that you see anywhere can be replaced by one of these. Large upfront cost yes, but what if you are using it as a light on a high ceiling that is tough to reach? Then you can pop one of these light bulbs in and you will have the light bulb longer with less the hassle. They are already using LEDs in cars, what do you think is next?

Why?
Are you stuck on writing an article? Stuck on getting the wheels turning with writing a great article? Well here is the post for you! This post outlines all the things you should consider when writing a great post. Whether it’s talking about local happenings, events, trends, how-tos, make sure you change it up, keep the reader’s attention while giving them variety too. One of the tips that caught my attention was, “Resist blogging when you are angry”, and I can’t stress this enough! Remember once you put something in writing and on the internet, it’s fair game and it could backfire on you, so keep that in mind.
